It’s common knowledge that spring and summer are the prime seasons to sell a piece of real estate. This is especially true for Santa Barbara’s Mesa community. During the 2nd quarter of 2017 activity was astounding. A total of 36 single family homes sold for an average sale price of $1,304,382 while only sitting on the market for an average of 31 days! The 2nd quarter of 2016 was impressive as well with 27 properties sold with an average sale price of $1,298,297 while averaging 44 days on the market. When comparing the 2nd quarter of 2017 to the 2nd quarter of 2016 it is apparent that the Mesa real estate market continues to grow statistically stronger in every category. Here’s another example of the strength of the Mesa real estate market – in the 2nd quarter of 2017 Mesa homes sold for 98% of their original list price while only selling for 94% in the same period last year.
If you only take one thing away from reading this real estate market update post it’s this…the market is hot, hot, hot!
